A while before Christmas I submitted some of my photos from Honduras to TNT Magazine’s weekly photo competition. I had virtually forgotten about it, when this week I recieved an email saying I’d won the runner-up prise. Low-and-behold, there was my humming bird picture printed. It’s nothing increadibly special, but I win a ?99 photograph course and it’s cool to see my photo in print :)
I’ve lost internet access at home, but will upload the "winning photo" soon.

A few weeks back I was in Edinburgh taking some photos for the British University Dry Slope Champs. Since leaving university I’ve kept in contact with a lot of my ski club buddies and this year Salford University are running BUSC, so I’m acting as the semi-official photographer. I will upload some of the best photos when I get time, but until then you can check them out here.

I’ve started putting photos of my trips into London onto the same page. I’ll add to this page from time to time.

Things are starting to fall into place.
A hectic trip to London last week yielded some positive results. I found a nice room in a flat in Putney: the room is nice and big; has a door out onto the apartment block’s roof; and is conveniently close to the train line out to Windsor for work. I’ll be sharing the flat with three South Africans, I haven’t met all of them yet but one is a graphic designer and one of the others apparently works for e-bay. The only problem is that I can’t move in until the 11th, so I’ll be crashing on floors until then. I start for proper on Monday.
Yesterday, I got back from a week trip to the USA. Michigan is cool, if very flat and a little strange.
Things I want to do when I get down to London for real: start Spanish classes, join a gym, find a martial art dojo (Ninjutsu, Capoeria, or something new), renew my first aid qualifications.
